Terri Lynn Ruiz, 69, of Marion, passed away at 5:11 am on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, in her home. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Thursday, November 1, 1956, to Leo and Myra (Lane) Brooks.
Terri graduated from Marion High School.
Terri enjoyed arts and crafts, especially, making jewelry and crocheting. She liked to play bingo and host cookouts with her friends and neighbors. She also liked to watch TV and buy scratch-off lottery tickets. Terri was an outgoing woman who never met a stranger and always kept her door open as an invitation to new friends.
Terri is survived by her children, Dawn Sheree Brooks, of MI, April Candice Ellis of Greensburg, KY, Jerimiah Heter of IN, and Andrew (Shannon) Brim of IN; grandchildren, Alexander, Jaedalin, Matthew, Sara, Jhadien, Zacharia, Candice, Aiden, Ezra, and Iris; 3 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Libby Brooks; several nieces, nephews, and friends; and her beloved dog, Fifi.
She was preceded in death by father, Leo Dail Brooks; mother, Myra Virginia Brooks; daughter, Tonya Angelle Brooks; grandson, Lorenzo; and brothers, Dale Martin Brooks and Larry Brooks.
At Terri’s request, there will be no public visitation or funeral service.
