
Judith “Mary Ann” Parrie, 85, of Warren, formerly of Gas City, passed away at 8:52 am on Friday, December 12, 2025, at Heritage Pointe in Warren. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Sunday, May 12, 1940, the daughter of William and Marie Sullivan. On April 30, 1960, she married Jesse E. Parrie, and he survives.
Mary Ann graduated from Bennett High School and worked at Owens Illinois for 23 years until her retirement. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Parish. Mary Ann enjoyed going out to eat and going shopping. She loved spending time with her family, especially during the holidays. She kept a beautiful garden and especially enjoyed growing tomatoes. She owned many dogs over the years and loved to donate to the Humane Society.
Survivors include her husband, Jesse E. Parrie of Warren; children, Lisa M. (Kris) Kendall of Gas City, Daniel J. (Debra) Parrie of Gas City, Steven M. Parrie of Muncie; granddaughter, Amber (Brad) Brand of Eaton; great-granddaughter, Addisyn Shipley; great-grandson, Ryker Brand; step grandchildren, Alicia Jones, Brent (Cassie) Kendall; step great-grandchildren, Camden, Payton, Josie, Landon, Ethan, Hudson; as well as several nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Marie Sullivan of Gas City; grandson, Dustin McHenry; brothers, Larry Payne, William Mauller; and her beloved dogs, Gizmo and Rusty.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 325 E. N. A St., Gas City, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a Funeral Mass to celebrate Mary Ann’s life will begin at 1:00 pm with Father Kevin Hurley officiating. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park.
