Cheryl Ann (Bartholomew) Ashley met her sweet Lord and Savior Monday, December 15, 2025, at 1:11 pm. Known by so many as Grandma Cheryl, she loved deeply and loved her family so well.
Cheryl was born and raised in Marion, Indiana, to William and Norma Bartholomew. She fully enjoyed life as one of five girls. Their home never lacked excitement with the Bartholomew girls. Cheryl was very close with Sandy, Linda, Debbie, and Marilyn. She walked alongside her sweet Linda on her journey to meet Jesus.
Cheryl and her sweetheart, Danny, started dating when they were 14 and 15 years old. They dated for seven years and married on September 22, 1973. They were married for 52 years and spent 59 years in love. They spent their younger years raising their two greatest accomplishments, Angela and Tyler. They took on many adventures together and raised their kids to work hard, love well, and follow Jesus.
Cheryl’s whole life was her family, but she also did enjoy June’s Journey and Candy Crush.
Cheryl took on many roles in her lifetime, but Grandma was her favorite. She loved her grandbabies with such passion. It was so clear to see the joy it brought her to be their grandma.
Cheryl’s life is celebrated by her husband, Danny Ashley; daughter, Angela (married to Ryan) Carmichael; son, Tyler (married to Tammi); and 7 grandkids, Landon Ashley, Jetta Ashley, Keagon Ashley, Cayson Carmichael, Calla Ashley, Ari Carmichael, and Rigdon Ashley. She is also loved and celebrated by her sisters, brothers-in-law, many nieces and nephews, and countless friends.
Cheryl will always be known for her loving heart and her incredible sense of humor.
The family will receive visitors from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
