Jimmie Lee Clark

Jimmie Lee Clark was born on June 7, 1947, in Peru, Indiana, to Varnham Carey Clark and Helen Louise Clark. He grew up in Roann, Indiana, and graduated from Northfield High School in 1965. Jimmie began his career at General Tire & Rubber Company before moving his family to Kokomo, Indiana, where he worked at the Chrysler Die Cast Plant.

In 1975, he relocated to Houston, Texas, and soon joined the Harris County Sheriff’s Department. Over the years, he rose to the rank of Detective, proudly serving his community until his retirement in 2002.

Jimmie lived a life full of curiosity, adventure, and accomplishment. He earned his private pilot’s license, completed advanced scuba diving certification, and loved offshore fishing and riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. In his youth, he was active in the Roann Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, achieving the rank of Eagle Scout—an honor he held throughout his life. He was also a proud member of the Valley of Indianapolis, AASR Northern Masonic Jurisdiction, since 1972.

He is survived by his four children: Chris Clark, Edwina Kinnard, Gina Crunk, and Carey Clark. He leaves behind seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren who will carry forward his memory.

Jimmie peacefully passed away on November 25, 2025, in Bryan, Texas.

Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 5, 2025 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Roann Chapel, 335 South Chippewa Road, Roann, with Pastor Chris Ponchot officiating. Burial will be in Roann Community Cemetery.
