Jerry Lee Snyder

Jerry Lee Snyder, 86, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 3:45 pm, Sunday, November 30, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on June 20, 1939, in Lagro, Indiana, to Clarence Raymond and Lula L. (Pinkerton) Snyder.

Jerry was a 1958 graduate of Andrews High School. He married Mary Schlemmer in Wabash on October 27, 1961. Jerry was a licensed auctioneer for 61 years, the past 25 years for Snyder and Lange, worked at International Harvester in Fort Wayne, retiring in 1983, and also farmed. Jerry enjoyed eating out with friends, working auctions with Fred Lange and Gary Working, working on his tractors, and hanging out with his friends at the Junction in Lagro. He loved his dog Sasha and especially loved his friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Snyder of Wabash; three children, Carrie (Brad) Harris of Wabash, Keith (Kim) Snyder, and Amy (David) Bowman, both of Urbana; grandchildren, Chad Harris, Christa (Jeremy Parrett)Harris, Cayla (Billy Sickafus) Harris, Ryan (Hope Tacker) Snyder, Justin Snyder, Randa (Nathan) Wood, and Lindsey (Adam) Smith; great-grandchildren, Shaylee Jacobs, Gracie Snyder, Hunter Snyder, Rylynn Snyder, Xavier Shelton, Kyndal Harris, Keagyn Harris, Jordan Parrett, and Finlee Lee Snyder; and his special friends Fred Lange of Huntington and Gary Working of Marion. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Esther Snyder Johnson, brother Delbert Dean Snyder, and infant sister Ruth Evelyn Snyder.

There will be a celebration of Jerry's life at a later date. Arrangements by Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash.
