Ralph D. Marley, 79, of Marion, passed away peacefully at 9:50 am on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Marion Health. He was born on July 27, 1946, to Jess and Alberta (Nicely) Marley. Ralph married Marilyn (Middleton), who preceded him in death.
Ralph worked as a laborer for 33½ years at Dana Corporation before retiring.
Ralph loved the outdoors--camping, fishing, and golfing were among his favorite pastimes. He was an avid NASCAR and Indiana University sports fan. Above all, Ralph cherished time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughter, Shannon (Jerry) Smith of Logansport, IN; sons, Jim Young of Elkhart, IN, and Brady (Tammy) Young of Logansport, IN; grandchildren, Ashley Dausman, Kelcie (Stephen) Cochrane, Courtney (Kyle) Fischer, Zachary Young, Kodie Young, Connor (Kaylee) Young, and Kylee Young; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, David Lee (Elaine) Marley and Michael (Debbie) Marley; companion, Tanya Fields; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Ralph was preceded in death by his father, Jess Marley; mother, Alberta Marley; and his wife, Marilyn Marley.
In accordance with Ralph’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral service. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Grant Memorial Park.
