Phyllis M. Harner, 93, of Swayzee, passed away at 9:10 pm on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Colonial Oaks Health & Rehabilitation Center in Marion. She was born in Swayzee, Indiana, on Tuesday, May 17, 1932, to Kenneth and Ila (Shane) Key. Phyllis was married to Donald Edward Harner, who preceded her in death on May 14, 2020.
Phyllis worked at General Tire until her retirement. She loved to travel, cook, read the Bible, and watch Hallmark movies. She was a great and wonderful mom, always putting her family first and creating a loving home.
Survivors include her children, Robert (Carol) McPeak of Marion, Terry McPeak of LaFontaine, Linda Lines of Gas City, Joyce Hurd of Marion, and Donald (Jackie) McPeak of Marion; 6 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Katherine Wohlheter of Marion.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; sons, Ronald McPeak and Randy McPeak; brother, Max Key; daughter-in-law, Barb McPeak; and son-in-law, Bob Hurd.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Phyllis' life will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor David Rogers officiating. Burial will take place at Thrailkill Cemetery.
