Wabash Run the River draws 415 participants from 13 states

WABASH COUNTY, IN – The fourth annual Wabash Run the River presented by Visit Wabash County took place on Saturday, June 7th, bringing together 415 runners from across 13 different states to experience one of Indiana’s most scenic races. Hosted along the beautiful Wabash River Trail, the event featured chip-timed 5K, 10K, and half-marathon options for both competitive runners and casual participants. “Wabash Run the River is more than just a race—it’s a celebration of community, perseverance, and the natural beauty of Wabash County,” said Stephanie Rogers, race director and experiences manager for Visit Wabash County. “Every runner who crosses that finish line becomes part of something special, and it’s been amazing to see this event grow each year.” Runners crossed the finish line to cheers, music, and custom pint glasses, with a festive post-race atmosphere supported by local vendors and volunteers. The race not only promotes health and wellness but also boosts tourism and local pride. Cash prizes were awarded to the top male and female finishers of each race thanks to this year’s title sponsor, Chittick Insurance. Included in the 415 participants were 39 individuals in MyTeam Triumph. “MyTeam Triumph exists to allow people with al abilities the opportunity to experience endurance sports, and we do that through forming a partnership between a Captain and an Angel,” explains Todd Schindler, vice president for MyTeam Triumph Northern Indiana and coordinator for Wabash County. Participants traveled from as far away as Wyoming, Oregon, Arkansas, and California to join this year’s race, showcasing the wide appeal of Wabash County’s natural beauty and welcoming charm.
