Jeffrey A. Kirk, 59, of Converse, Indiana, passed away peacefully at 6:45 a.m. on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Colonial Oaks Health & Rehabilitation Center in Marion. He was born on February 15, 1966, in Wilmington, Delaware, to the late Paul and Joan (Kochendorfer) Kirk. He later married Carol Paulson, who survives.
Jeff was a graduate of Wolfson High School in Jacksonville, Florida, and attended Florida Junior College of Jacksonville. He dedicated his career to the field of information technology and was a valued employee at Availity. A true entrepreneur and dreamer, Jeffrey was known for his witty humor and inventive spirit.
Jeff loved his God and lived a life full of generosity and helpfulness. A man of many passions, he was a coffee enthusiast, who took his love of the brew to the next level by learning to roast his own beans. He was a BBQ master, whose cookouts were a beloved tradition among family and friends. Jeff's curiosity and technical skills led him to constantly tinker with gadgets and computers. Music was another lifelong love. He played the trumpet in his youth and continued to enjoy music throughout his life. Friday nights were often spent in the company of friends, playing cards and sharing laughter.
Jeff is survived by his loving wife, Carol Kirk of Converse; his children: Clarissa (Brad) Merchant of Wabash, and their children, Haddon and Asher; Taylor (Chandler) Ames of Indianapolis; and Dylan Kirk of Converse.
