Nancy A. Shane - Brown, 81, Gas City, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Twin City Healthcare in Gas City. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Sunday, October 17, 1943, to Eugene and Velma (Fleming) Robbins. On February 15, 2005, she married Gayle Brown and he survives.
Nancy graduated from Jefferson High School worked as an Insurance Agent for 12 years with Auto Owners Insurance. She was a member of First Christian Church - Gas City. Nancy was in the church choir, Brookhaven Bible Study, and the Christian Women's Fellowship at 1st Christian Church. She loved going to flea markets and to Cape Canaveral, FL where she would watch the space ships take off at Cape Canaveral, FL.
Survivors include her husband, Gayle Brown of Gas City; son, Bradley (Karen) Shane of Acworth, GA; sister, Ethel (Charles) Haisley of Fairmount; brother-in-law, Robert Williams of Wabash; sister, Rebecca (John) Chapman of Easley, SC; grandchildren, Haley Hatcher of GA, Parker Shane of GA; great-granddaughter, Hensley Hatcher; numerous nieces and nephews; stepchildren, Ronald (Marilyn) Brown of Fort Wayne, Debbie (Dean) Marcum of Pennville, Twila (Shane) Reinhart of Winchester, and Steve (Yalyle) Brown of Kingsland, GA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene M. and Velma L. Robbins; and sister, Jeanne Williams.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St, Gas City, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Nancy's life will begin at 1:00 pm with David Long officiating. Entombment will take place at Grant Memorial Park.
