Marta Lynn DePoy,72, of Marion, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2025, at St. Vincent Heart Center of Indianapolis in Carmel. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Saturday, February 14, 1953, to Elbrage and Phyllis (Long) Scott.
Marta graduated from Marion High School in 1971 and Indiana Business College. She worked as a Insurance Agent for 50 years with Davison Insurance. She was an avid cross-stitcher and loved to garden. She loved her dog, Boomer and was a fan of watching the Fever and The Indianapolis Pacers.
Marta is survived by her daughter, Beth (Stephen) Alston of Marion; significant other, Daniel Kindschi; sister, Mickey (Doug Lail) Hodge; brother, Norman Scott; grandchildren, Amanda (Dakota) Mowan, Nathan (Brionna) Alston, Nicholle Alston; three great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elbrage L. and Phyllis L. Scott; as well as her husband, Thomas M. DePoy.
At Marta's request, there will be no public visitation or funeral service.
