Clinton T. Jones, 67, Marion, passed away at 2:36 am on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at Indiana University Health Ball Memorial in Muncie. He was born in Marion, Indiana, on Tuesday, February 18, 1958, to James and Mildred (Smith) Jones. On April 27, 1980 he married Nora Ruth Horton, who survives.
Clinton attended Marion High School and was a mule driver with Atlas Foundry for 25 years. In his early adult years, he was a member of a car club in Marion. He loved music, especially playing bass guitar, as well as fishing, and doing construction projects. And, even though he broke his neck riding his bike, that was still one of Clinton’s favorite hobbies he enjoyed doing with his wife and grandkids.
In addition to his loving wife of 45 years, survivors include his sons, Jonathan (partner, JoAnn) Wilson, Travis Jones, and Marcus (fiancée, Jamie Jackson) Jones of Kokomo; 10 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; brothers, Irwin Jones of Dunkirk and Clayton (Linda) Jones of Louisville, KY; step-brothers, Ronald (Gina) Lett, Richard (Denise) Stewart, and Harry (Lynaei) Stewart of Marion; and step-sisters, Cynthia (Samuel) Martin of MI and Sondra (Allen) McCullough.
He was preceded in death by parents; step-mother, Sadie Stewart; sister, Patricia Mitchell; brother, Allen J. Wright; and step-sister, Belinda Stewart.
The family will receive visitors from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on Monday, May 5, 2025, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a funeral service to celebrate Clinton's life will begin at 12:00 noon with Elder Damion Jackson and Pastor Stanford Bolden officiating. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park.
