Doris “Maureen” Colvin, 86, of Marion, passed away at 9:12 am on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Wesleyan Health Care & Rehabilitation Center in Marion. Her husband, John Fredrick Colvin, also a resident, was by her side when she died.
Maureen was born in Chicago, Illinois, on Friday, September 22, 1939. She spent her youth in Shelburn, IN where her mother, Margaret Hauger and Artie Hauger raised her. She was married to John Fredrick Colvin of Shelburn, IN on Friday, September 27, 1957.
John, just out of the Air Force, was hired by the Fisher Body Co, in Marion, IN where the newlyweds made their home. Maureen attended the Woodland Hills Church in north Marion.
John and Maureen have three children, John Perry (Cathy) Colvin, Kevin Lee Colvin, Laura Ann Colvin; 13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; as well as her half-brother, Bob Thomas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Artie and Margaret Hauger; and her daughter-in-law, Susan Marie Colvin.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Maureen’s life will begin at 12:00 noon with Evangelist Taylor Ladd officiating. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park.
