Lauretta Wilson

Lauretta Wilson, 97, Marion, passed away at 5:05 pm on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Miller’s Merry Manor. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Friday, June 8, 1928, to Floyd and Grace (Endsley) Davis.

Lauretta graduated from Sweetser High School and worked at RCA until 1984, when she retired. She was a member of Grace Community Church, where she was very involved, helping with bake sales and funeral dinners. She was a member of the Moose Auxiliary, had been a Girl Scout Troop Leader, and had led the first integrated Girl Scout troop in Grant County. Lauretta enjoyed crocheting, bowling, traveling, and playing Skip-Bo. She will be remembered for her generous and giving nature.

Survivors include her daughters, Ardeana (Michael) Kowalski of Marion, Carla (Michael) Kreilein of Newport News, VA; grandchildren, Adrian (Julie) Rhetts, Morgan Rhetts, Evan Y. Rhetts, Kevin Kreilein, Wesley (Stacey) Haley; great-grandchildren, Julian Rhetts, Evan D. Rhetts, Cade Haley, Harper Haley; and sister, Robertha Wilson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Grace Davis; husband of 52 years, Roy Dean Wilson; sister, Darolyn Burden; brothers, Lindy Davis, Dewight Davis, and Deacon Davis; and her best friend, Frances Douglass.

The family will receive visitors from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at Grace Community Church, 1810 E. Bradford Pike, Marion, IN, 46952.

Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Lauretta’s life will begin at 12:00 noon with Pastor Tom Mansbarger officiating. Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory – Marion.
