Loretta E. Braun, 39, Indianapolis, passed away at 4:26 pm on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis. She was born in Bluffton, Indiana, on Thursday, January 1, 1987, to Michael and Taritha (Green) Braun.
She was an amazing baseball and volleyball player and was even a great archer. She loved being out on the water boating whenever she could. She was super talented musically too- singing and playing professionally. But more than anything, she worked hard at everything she did. Whatever it was, she gave her all, no shortcuts. She took pride in her job as an ophthalmologist technician by giving 100%.
Survivors include her parents, Michael T. and Taritha Braun of Sheridan; son, Wyatt Laeufer; siblings, Jeremiah Laws, Karen (Ryan) Piety, Joseph (Michelle) Braun, James (Lauren) Braun, Carmen Laws, Emily (Spencer) Wolfley; several nieces and nephews; and aunts, Kathleen (Jeff) Herbort and Linda (Dennis) Crook.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, M. Thomas and Elaine Braun, William and Alice Green.
The family will receive visitors from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Loretta’s life will begin at 12:00 noon. Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory – Marion.
