
Marie V. Miller, 88, Jonesboro, entered her eternal life peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, in her home on Saturday, April 4, 2026. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on November 25, 1937 to James P. and Mary E. Morris.
Marie married Conrad Miller on October 30, 1954. Together they shared 65 years of marriage. From their union, they had three children: identical twins, Mitchell and Michael Miller, and a daughter, Teresa Miller.
Marie devoted her life to caring for three generations of family, always offering unconditional love, strength, and guidance. She lovingly cared for her children, her granddaughter, Holly (Miller) Downam, and her great-granddaughters, Cierra Butcher and Alyzabeth Jones.
Marie worked at General Tire for 10 years before becoming a full-time homemaker. She loved the Lord deeply and was a lifelong member of Main Street Wesleyan Church in Jonesboro.
She is survived by her son, Mitchell Dean (Diann) Miller of Marion; sister, Wanna (Margaret) Morris of Denton, TX; and a large, loving extended family including her grandchildren, Holly (Josh) Downam of Jonesboro, Amy (Mike) Hicks of Bloomington, Michael (Sherri) Miller of Jonesboro, Kelly (Adam) Zion and Charlotte (Mike) Fridley of Gas City, Tracey (Jerry) Carter of Marion, Amber (Steven) Royce of Fulkner, NY, Angie Horner of Columbus City, Michelle (Shawn) Smith of Booneville, and Tony (Jill) Roe of Dunkirk. Marie’s legacy will live on through her 18 great-grandchildren, 21 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by parents; beloved husband, Conrad N. Miller; Son, Michael G Miller; daughter, Teresa M. Miller; brother, Daniel Morris; grandsons, Barry Horner and David Roe, and great-great-grandson, Conrad A. Flynn.
Marie will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her boundless love for her husband and family, and the strength that guided those blessed to know her.
The family will receive visitors from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Friday, April 10, 2026 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Marie’s life will begin at 2:00 pm with Rev. Ken Dykhoff officiating. Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory – Marion.
