Candace Louise “Candi” Paul, 64, Marion, passed away at 2:55 am on Saturday, March 21, 2026, in Marion. She was born in South Bend, Indiana, on Wednesday, August 23, 1961, to Delbert and Wanda (Harris) Paul.
She was a dedicated employee of Marion Health from 2015 until her passing. Candi was also a joyful part of The River Church, a place where she felt deeply connected and at peace. She loved taking walks, tending her flowers and watching the squirrels in her neighborhood. She enjoyed her coworkers and always had a smile on her face and said hi to everyone. More than anything, Candi loved her children and grandchildren and spending time with them. She had a remarkable gift for making people feel cared for, often asking the same sincere question to coworkers, friends, and family: “Is there anything I can do for you?” Candi always enjoyed being comfortable and so her family would appreciate everyone just coming in comfortable clothes to her service.
Survivors include her daughter, Shanda (Brady) Irwin of Montpelier; sons, Joshua Bricker of Marion, Mark Luckey, Sr. of Marion; grandchildren, Mark Luckey, Jr., Isaiah Luckey, James Luckey, Xander Bricker, Daniel Lloyd, Sophie Lloyd, Anthony Lloyd, Shylee Lines; sisters, Lana Olejnik, Lorraine Hanson; brothers, Gregory Paul, Dennis (Sue) Paul; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Luckey; daughter, Elizabeth Luckey; boyfriend, David Harris; grandsons, Xavier Luckey, Kagen Lines, Kolben Lines; as well as her parents, Delbert and Wanda Paul.
The family will receive visitors from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Candi’s life will begin at 12:00 noon with Pastor Nowell Hardin officiating.
