WABASH, IN – Visit Wabash County officials announce a new outdoor experience.
Tickets for Hike and Stargazing are on sale now online (www.visitwabashcounty.com) and
in person (Welcome Center, 221 S Miami St, Wabash).
Sponsored by The Wabash County Izaak Walton League, Hike and Stargazing
experience will take place on Friday, March 20, starting at 7:30 PM and is estimated to
last 2 hours. The all-inclusive experience costs $15 per person and includes chili and
s’mores at the Izaak Walton League in Somerset. The program is recommended for
participants ages 6 and older.
Hikers will join Stephanie Rogers at the Izaak Walton League located in Somerset,
Indiana for an evening of fellowship and exploration under the stars. The experience will
begin with a warm bowl of chili and cornbread before participants head out on a
guided evening hike, exploring the trail. After the hike, guests will settle in to soak up the
quiet magic of the night sky, gathering around a campfire to enjoy s’mores, share
stories of the stars, and spot constellations overhead.
“This experience is all about slowing down, connecting with nature, and enjoying
something a little out of the ordinary,” said Stephanie Rogers, Experiences Manager at
Visit Wabash County. “We are incredibly grateful to the Wabash County Izaak Walton
League for being such amazing hosts and sponsors. Their support helps us create
meaningful, memorable outdoor experiences for our community and visitors.”
Hikers are encouraged to bring flashlights for the hike and camp chairs for around the
bonfire after the hike. Hikers should dress for the weather and wear good hiking shoes.
