Rebecca (Beckie) Ann Hoke

Rebecca (Beckie) Ann Hoke, age 81, of Marion, Indiana passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 12, 2026. She was born December 15, 1944, in Swayzee, Indiana to Forrest and Lillian Weaver.

Beckie graduated from Swayzee High School in 1962. She worked at Trine University in the admissions department, was part owner of Hoke Engineering, worked for Handy Andy Corporation, and Rex Collins. After retirement she volunteered at Marion General Hospital.

Beckie married Kenny Hoke on September 6, 1964. They had two children, Chris (Beth) Hoke and Jenny (Jerry) Hoss.

Beckie was a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed bowling, card club, and playing games of all kinds. She loved attending concerts, watching NASCAR, and keeping up with trivia, game shows, and iPad games–often while reading three or four books at a time. She treasured vacations with her family, time spent with friends, and her volunteer work at the hospital. Beckie lived by the motto, “It’s not about what you’re doing; it’s who you’re with that matters,” a sentiment she reflected in the way she lived her life and loved those around her.

She is survived by her children, Chris and Jenny (Jerry) Hoss. Grandchildren, Conner Hoke, Kelsey (Chase) Walter, Kara (Nick) Smith, and Lilly (Garrett) Martin. Great-grandchild, Annalise Walter and expected grandchild Westyn Martin. Sibling Judi (Larry) Pattison; and several nieces and nephews.

She is proceeded in death by parents, Forrest and Lillian Weaver; and her husband, Kenny Hoke.

The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1 pm on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.

A celebration of Beckie’s life will follow at 1:00 pm. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park.
