HUNTINGTON COUNTY, IN – On November 7, 2025, just before 5:00pm Huntington County Dispatch advised of a personal injury crash near County Road 825 West and US24 in Huntington County involving a school bus. A Trooper from the Indiana State Police Peru District responded to the crash involving three vehicles. He arrived to find one person injured and trapped inside a vehicle.
Initial evidence on scene showed that a Huntington County Community Schools Corporation school bus, driven by John Hull (62) of Andrews, was driving south on CR 825W and had successfully crossed the westbound lanes of US24 and then failed to yield to traffic in the eastbound lanes. The bus hit a Dodge van, driven by Bradley Mix (56) of Fort Wayne, that was heading east on US24. The van rolled onto its passenger side and slid into a Ford truck, driven by William Wiles (69) of Andrews, that was stopped at the intersection of SR105 and US24.
Mr. Mix was trapped inside the Dodge van and had non-life-threatening injuries. After he was extricated from the van he was transported to a local hospital for medical care. There were no students on the bus and no other injuries reported.
The Peru Trooper was assisted at the crash scene by Fort Wayne Troopers, Huntington County Sheriff’s Department, Andrews Police Department, Andrews Fire Department, Parkview EMS, and 24/7 towing. |
