
Steven Wayne Walker, 72, of rural Wabash, Indiana, died at 11:00 am, Saturday, October 11, 2025, at his home. He was born on October 1, 1953, in Texarkana, Arkansas, to Carolyn A. (Lancaster) Crago.
Steven was a 1971 graduate of Huntington North High School. Throughout his life he took college courses at IPFW. He married Carol Ann Enyeart in Sevierville, Tennessee on May 5, 2005; she died July 18, 2024. Steven worked at IMCO in Huntington from 1976-1995, he also worked for Meridian Automotive in Huntington, and also owned and operated Enyearts Woodcrafts. He was a journeyman electrician, also loved wooodworking, watching football where he was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan, watching Steven Seagal movies, western and action movies, and belonged to several bowling and golf leagues. Steven took great pride in his yard work, and loved working with his hands.
He is survived by three children, Ryan Walker of Wabash, Brian (Katie) Walker and Stevie (Dylan) Davis, both of Huntington, three step children, Robert Joseph "R.J." Metzger of Huntington, Josh Lee (April) Metzger and Laura Ann Metzger, both of Dunham, North Carolina, six grandchildren, Ecatarina Meekin, Micah Metzger, Sadie Waite, Katie Brydon, Avis Metzger, and Zoe Walker, two great-grandchildren, Scarlett Metzger and Beckett Metzger, two brothers, Darrell Walker of Huntington, and Chris Crago of Andrews, Indiana, three sisters, Brenda Marsh of Warren, Indiana, Linda (Rick) Crago-Crunk and Carolyn Crago, both of Andrews, and step mother Beverly Enyeart of Wabash. He was also preceded in death by his mother, adopted father, Joseph Crago, step father, Charles Enyeart, brother, Roger Jones, and sister, Bertha Crago.
There will be a visitation for family and friends from 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm, Friday, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Friends Cemetery, Wabash.
