James E. Powell, 73, of Wabash, Indiana, died Thursday, October 9, 2025, at his home. He was born on December 6, 1951, in Wabash, to Eugene and Evelyn (Wall) Powell.
James was a 1971 graduate of Wabash High School and worked for the Operators Union. On June 30, 1979, he married Debra Lester, in Wabash. He enjoyed being outside, riding motorcycles, and going out to eat. Above all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his daughter and granddaughters.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Powell of Wabash; daughter, Tessie (Steven) Jarrard of New Windsor, New York; two granddaughters, Lohla and Marlee Jarrard, both of New Windsor, and siblings, Suzanne Judy and Richard Powell, both of Wabash. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Barbara Carroll, and half-brother, Robert Hogue.
There will be no services.
