GRANT COUNTY, IN- On 09/19/2025, the JEAN Team Drug Task Force conducted an investigation in
reference to the sale and distribution of illegal narcotics. In the course of the investigation,
a search warrant was obtained for 923 W. 6th St. Apt B in Marion. The search warrant
resulted in the arrest of three individuals and the seizure of illegal narcotics. The J.E.A.N.
Team was assisted in this investigation by the Grant County Sheriff’s Dept. the Marion
Police Department, the Marion Health Police Department, the Grant County Prosecutor’s
Office and the Department of Child Services.
Brian Nicholson, age 43 of Marion was transported to the Grant County Jail and
charged with the following;
Count I; Dealing in a narcotic drug, a level 2 felony
Count 2; Dealing in a narcotic drug, a level 2 felony
Count 3; Dealing in a narcotic drug, a level 2 felony
Count 4; Dealing methamphetamine, a level 3 felony
Count 5; Maintaining a common nuisance, a level 6 felony
Cierra Deaton, age 30 of Marion was transported to the Grant County Jail and
charged with the following;
Count 1; Possession of a narcotic drug, a level 6 felony
Count 2; Neglect of a dependent, a level 6 felony
Count 3; Maintaining a common nuisance, a level 6 felony
Count 4; Possession of marijuana, a class B misdemeanor
Jacob Chapman, age 32 of Marion was transported to the Grant County Jail and charged
with the following;
Count 1; Possession of a narcotic drug, a level 6 felony
Count 2; Neglect of a dependent, a level 6 felony
Count 3; Maintaining a common nuisance, a level 6 felony
Count 4; Possession of marijuana, a class B misdemeanor
During the course of the investigation, approximately 24 grams of suspected
fentanyl, approximately 4 grams of suspected methamphetamine, and approximately 2
grams of suspected marijuana were seized.
