Salamonie Lake’s Senior Monday Luncheon, Sept. 8

ANDREWS, IN- The Senior Monday Luncheon will be held at noon, September 8 at the Salamonie Lake Interpretive Center, located in Lost Bridge West SRA. Anyone age 50 or older is welcome to attend. Rhoda Gerig presents a look at various subjects she has photographed from near and far following the noon meal. Rhoda has fed a love of photography since she was a teen. Since 2010, that interest has developed into a passion of capturing a moment in time, especially of birds in flight. Once a Wabash County math and art teacher, the driving force behind her photographic pursuits is finding a photo that tells a story or showcases God’s creation. The program features Indiana eagles and foxes, wildflowers, subjects from Africa and even polar bears.

The program begins with a carry-in meal at noon. Guests should bring a side dish to share, a beverage, and their table service. The main dish will be provided by Friends of Upper Wabash Interpretive Services. A donation will be accepted to help defray costs.

Seating is limited. Reservations may be made by calling 260-468-2127.

Upper Wabash Interpretive Services is located at 3691 New Holland Road, Andrews, 46702.
