Cathy J. Lovelady, 73, of Gas City, passed away at 2:20 pm on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Marion Health. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Tuesday, October 23, 1951, to Richard and Margaret Leslie.
Cathy graduated from Mississinewa High School and was a housekeeper for many years with Aperion Healthcare. Cathy loved art, especially coloring and painting. She was a very creative person who enjoyed spending time with her family and had a heart of gold, always finding the good in everyone. She enjoyed cleaning and was a devoted fan of Daryl Dixon, collecting anything related to him.
Cathy is survived by her daughters, Stacy Buff of Gas City and Erica (Joseph) Ensor of Gas City; grandchildren, Kyle Buff, Shawn (Sadie Jackson) Bartel, Tyler (Krista Robertson) Bartel, Alexis Brown, and Dylan Ensor; sister, Linda Lee Guyre of Marion; her partner, Wayne Lovelady; nephews, Chris Guyre and Derik Guyre; and niece, Melissa.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Leslie; mother, Margaret Leslie; and brother, Michael Wesley.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a funeral service to celebrate Cathy's life will begin at 1:00 pm. Pastor Damian Jackson will be officiating.
