Gloria Pruss,79, of Gas City, passed away at 11:40 pm on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Community Howard Regional Health in Kokomo. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday, February 12, 1946, to Clarence and Betty (Scott) Weir. On May 7, 1966, she married Martin Pruss, who survives.
Gloria attended Langley High School and later worked as an assistant housekeeper at The Holiday Inn. Gloria was an active member of Eastview Wesleyan Church and was involved in the Shepherding ministry and Circles. More than anything, she loved her family and enjoyed hosting people for dinners.
Gloria is survived by her husband, Martin Pruss of Gas City; son, Martin W. (Jennifer) Pruss; daughter, Gwenn Oleson; grandchildren, Kira Denson, Ainsley Pruss, Ryan Ayres, Haley Ayres; brother, Clarence W. Weir, Jr., and sisters, Nancy Couch and Kathleen Greenhalgh.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence W. and Betty Mae Weir; along with brothers, Frederick Weir and Dennis Weir.
At Gloria's request, there will be no public visitation or funeral service.
