Cassandra Lynn Herring, 77, Marion, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025, at her home. She was born in Elwood, Indiana, on January 21, 1948, to Marion Richwine and Ramona (Gardner) Wells. On March 1, 1969, she married James Herring and he survives.
She attended Elwood Community Schools until her Junior year of High School and then graduated from Kokomo High School. She worked at Delco Electronics in Kokomo and after 30 years of service, she retired. She loved her family, spending time with her grandchildren, and watching NASCAR. She loved her dogs and talking to her best friend, Mable.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, James "Jim" Herring; grandchildren, Megan Herring, Christopher Herring, Caleb Herring, Jeffrey Herring, and JC Herring; great-grandchildren, Renesmaye, Brinlynne, Tricen, Malachi, Legend, and other great-grandchildren; a host of siblings and extended family members; and dear friend, Mable Busch.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two daughters, Cheryl Herring and Jennifer Herring.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Cassandra's life will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Dan VanCise officiating. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park.
