Susan K. Cropper, 63, Gas City, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024, at Marion Health. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on July 16, 1961, to Lewis and Phyllis (Banter) Hollans. On November 30, 1984, she married Mark Cropper.
She graduated from Marion High School in 1979 and went on to earn two master’s degrees in Business Administration and Business Management from Indiana Wesleyan University.
She worked at United Tech for 31 years and later served as a TAA specialist at The Unemployment Office. Susan loved playing with her grand-babies and enjoyed collecting cans off the streets of Gas City in her golf cart with her grandsons. She was a natural caretaker, always looking out for everyone.
Survivors include her husband, Mark Cropper of Gas City; children, Jacob Cropper, Shelly Jones, Jennifer (Marcus) Cropper, Allan Cropper; grand-babies, Marcus Speikes, Taneal Cropper, Malique Speikes, Major Speikes, and Maykin Speikes; father, Lewis D. Hollans; and sister, Sandy Vandiver.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Phyllis Hollans; and father and mother-in-law, Earl and Mary Cropper.
The family will receive visitors from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm on Friday, August 30, 2024 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Susan's life will begin at 5:30 pm with Pastor Mick Simpkins officiating.
