Robert Louis “Bob” Bishop Sr.

Robert Louis "Bob" Bishop Sr., 83, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 9:20 pm, Sunday, August 25, 2024, at his home.  He was born on June 12, 1941, in Lagro, Indiana, to Louis and Dorothy (Parrett) Bishop.

Bob was a graduate of Wabash High School and was a US Army veteran. He was a Wabash City Fireman for 20 years, worked maintenance at the Wabash County Hospital for 30 years, and also was a self employed painter. Bob was a member of the Wabash American Legion Post 15 and the Wabash Moose Lodge #1195. He enjoyed Nascar racing, playing golf, and was an avid Chicago Bears fan.  

He is survived by his wife, Kim (Denniston) Bishop of Wabash; three children, Terri Osborne of Gainesville, Florida, Krystal (Eric) Krull of Columbia City, Indiana, and Sabrina (Seth) Cussen of Wabash; mother-in-law Sheila Denniston and daughter-in-law, Mikki Bishop, both of Wabash;  8 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and his sister, Nancy Hood of Logansport, Indiana.  He was preceded in death by his parents; son Robert L.  Bishop, Jr. who died May 2013; brother Steve Bishop; and two sisters, Shirley Marshall and Bonnie Bishop.

There will be a Celebration of Bob's Life from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Friday, August 30, 2024 at the Wabash Moose Lodge #1195, 169 E. Market Street, Wabash. Arrangements by Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash.

Preferred memorials are Wabash City Fire Department or Wabash Friends Church.
