Susan Marie Bonfitto, 70, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 3:53 am, Sunday, August 25, 2024, at her home, after an extended battle with breast cancer. She was born on October 16, 1953, in Wabash, to Donald E. and Wilma Hope (Fisher) Duhamell.
Susan was a 1971 graduate of Wabash High School. She married Paul W. Bonfitto in Marion, Indiana on August 9, 1975. Susan worked at Borders and Beyond in Wabash, and was an art lover. She was a member of the Wabash Christian Church, the Wabash American Legion Auxiliary, the Wabash VFW Auxiliary, and the Wabash Eagles Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, Paul W. Bonfitto of Wabash; two daughters, Anna Bonfitto of Phoenix, Arizona, and Deena (Steve) Clark of Wabash; granddaughter, Cali (Justin Heckman) Bonfitto of Wabash; and her brother, Larry Duhamell of Chesterton, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Susan Beamer officiating. Friends may call 3-7 pm Wednesday, at the funeral home.
