Carolyn Ann Davis, 84, Marion, passed away at 1:36 pm on Thursday, August 1, 2024, in her home after a courageous battle with liver cancer. Born on Saturday, September 23, 1939, to Michael and Lucy (Davis) Barton, Carolyn brought immense joy to those around her.
Carolyn was a graduate of Bennett High School in Marion. She worked at Paranite Wire and First National Bank in Marion.
Carolyn's journey touched the lives of many, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of strength and resilience. Her unwavering spirit in the face of adversity was an inspiration to all who knew her.
Carolyn will be remembered for her kindness, compassion, and the positive impact she had on everyone fortunate enough to have known her.
She is survived by her loving family, which includes her husband of 62 years, Larry; children, Elizabeth (Larry) Francis, Michael (Angie) Davis, and Ann Lewis; grandchildren, Andrea (Jim) Osterman, Nichole (Zack) Thomas, Colin Lewis, and Meggen Davis; six great-grandchildren; and friends, who will forever hold dear her memory.
She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Leo Barton; mother, Lucy (Davis) Barton; brothers, Michael (Mick) Barton, Charles "Chuck" Barton, and Richard Barton; and sister, Barbra Louise Slevin.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday, August 5, 2024, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN. Burial will take place at a later date at Marion National Cemetery.
