Sandra “Sandy” Sue Park, 85, of Carmel, Indiana, formerly of Marion, Indiana, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2026. Sandy was born on December 31, 1940, in Michigan, the daughter of Richard and Juanita Miller.
Her family later moved to Marion, Indiana, where she grew up and graduated from Marion High School in 1958. An accomplished academic student, she played the accordion and won numerous roller-skating competitions in her youth.
After graduation, Sandy worked as a bookkeeper before becoming a licensed realtor, proudly serving the Marion community for more than twenty years. She was an active member of Psi Iota Xi Philanthropic Sorority and her church. She enjoyed bowling leagues, shopping trips with girlfriends, and traveling the world with her husband, Paul – including more than thirty cruises, each one lovingly documented in the photo albums the two of them made together.
Above all, Sandy cherished her family. She never missed a birthday party, ball game, recital, or graduation, and was known to all as everyone’s number one supporter. Her famous chocolate cookie sheet cake was a beloved tradition at every holiday, enjoyed by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren alike. Born on New Year’s Eve, Sandy loved hosting family and friends on her birthday each year – and her family liked to say the whole world celebrated her special day. In her later years, she made a quiet mission of visiting friends in nursing homes and those without family nearby, living out the lesson she taught her children: to offer a hand-up, not just a handout.
Sandy is survived by her husband, Paul Park; her daughter, Jodi Meyer; her son, Larry Stubbs; her stepsons, Kevin and Steve Park; her grandchildren, Bradley Marsh, Katelyn Hall, Jacob Stubbs, Noah Stubbs, Anna Stubbs, Tyler Park, Tanner Park, and Ashton Ousley; her great-grandchildren, Grace and Noah Hall, Baker Marsh, and Parker and Porter Ousley; and a host of cousins and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Juanita Miller; her brother, Bob Pattison; and many cherished cousins and friends.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Sandra’s life will begin at 1:30 pm with Pastor Jeff Jahn officiating. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Sandy’s many wonderful friends and to the caring team at Wellbrook Community in Carmel, Indiana, for their love and support.
