PERU, IN- The following is an ALDI closing update from the City of Peru Mayor’s Office:
Mayor Don Sturch stated, “I continue trying to connect with someone at ALDI’s Corporate Headquarters, but so far I have been unable to speak with anyone regarding the store’s closing. I have reached out several times to both the CEO and the Division Vice President through email and voicemail, and as of this afternoon, I have not received a vocal response.”
“I have also enlisted the help of Congressman Rudy Yakym to assist in reaching someone at ALDI corporate. Congressman Yakym has requested a meeting with ALDI’s CEO for both himself and me to get answers regarding the abrupt closing of the Peru ALDI location.”
“Although ALDI will still be closing, many of us would like to understand why. I will continue reaching out in hopes of receiving an explanation regarding the nature of the closing, and if I receive any information, I will pass it along.”
