BUNKER HILL, IN- On May 28th, 2026, at approximately 6:37am Miami County 911 Central Dispatch received a report of a medical emergency involving an unresponsive child in the 400 block of South Elm Street in Bunker Hill. EMS, Law Enforcement and First Responders were immediately dispatched to the scene, arriving within minutes. Despite lifesaving efforts, First Responders were unable to revive the child.
The Miami County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division along with the Miami County Coroner’s Office are conducting a death investigation, no other details will be released at this time.
Agencies assisting the MCSO at the scene were Bunker Hill Town Marshals Office, Miami County Coroner, Pipe Creek Fire, Parkview EMS, and Indiana State Police.
