
Heaven gained a beautiful angel, devoted mother, and a faithful servant. Jacqueline A. Kellogg, 84, of Marion, passed away at 8:07 a.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Aperion Care – Marion. She was born on Tuesday, April 14, 1942, in Marion, Indiana, to Francis and Willidean (Dillon) Smith. On June 5, 1976, she married Philip Kellogg, who preceded her in death.
Jacqueline graduated from Mississinewa High School in 1960. She worked as a receptionist for 17 years at the Gas Company in Marion and later served for many years as the office manager at American Mobile Power in Fairmount, Indiana.
A devoted member of Eastgate Community Church in Marion for more than 40 years, Jacqueline taught PreK Sunday School for over three decades. She loved her church community, going out to eat, shopping, and spending time visiting with friends and family. Her greatest joy came from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed listening to Christian radio, going to the Concerts in the Park, sunshine, planting flowers and mushroom hunting.
Survivors include her children, Jill (Tracy) Kilgore of Marion; Stephen Sloan of Huntington; and stepson, Keith (Peggy) Kellogg of North Webster; grandchildren, Nicole, Heather, Jasmine, Travis, Mandy, Keith II, Jennifer, Kyle, and Kevin; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Jerry Smith; son, Robert Mark Sloan; stepdaughter, Joni Neeley; stepson, Jeff Kellogg; granddaughters, Jasmine Sloan and Kellee Kellogg; and great-granddaughter, Kaeleigh Kellogg.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St, Gas City, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Jacqueline’s life will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Nate Wayman officiating. Burial will take place at Estates of Serenity.
