Neil Dean Anderson

Neil Dean Anderson, 68, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 12:30 am, Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at his home. He was born on July 5, 1957, in Wabash, Indiana, to Hazel Marie (Ward) Brinson.

Neil was a 1975 graduate of Wabash High School. He worked as a meat cutter for Clark’s Finer Foods in Wabash for several years, he later continued his career and retired from Meijer in Warsaw. On January 24, 1984, Neil married the love of his life, Georgia Darleena Lyons, in Grundy, Virginia. Their marriage was filled with devotion, laughter, and a deep bond that lasted until her passing on August 27, 2025. Neil enjoyed many simple pleasures in life—relaxing on the couch watching movies, following cage fighting, and never missing an episode of his favorite show, In the Heat of the Night. He also liked to golf when he had the chance. A seafood lover through and through, Neil found his greatest joy not in hobbies or routines, but in the time he spent with Darleena, whose presence meant more to him than anything else.

He is survived by two daughters, Tammy (Chris) Miller of Peru, Indiana, and Beverly (John) Griffith of Wabash, five grandchildren: Billie Faust and Meagan Nelson both of Wabash, Kristen Nelson of Indianapolis, Indiana, Brianna (Jordan) Reams of Kokomo, Indiana, and Kassidy Burton of Peru; brother, Dave (Shirley) Anderson of Wabash, sister-in-law, Melissa Ann Brinson of Wabash, and his dog Duke. He was also preceded in death by his mother, and brother Bryan Brinson.

There will be no services. Arrangements by Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash.

Preferred memorial is Animal Shelter of Wabash County.
