Roscoe Daniel Turner

Roscoe Daniel Turner, 83, Marion, passed away at 9:52 am on Monday, April 27, 2026, at Miller’s Merry Manor. He was born in Rockford, Indiana, on Saturday, April 10, 1943, to William and Monna Belle (Miller) Turner.  

He loved hunting and fishing, especially taking his sons along and teaching them the ways he knew so well. He believed that “home is where the heart is,” and no matter where life took him, family was always at the center. With loved ones from Florida to Indiana, he made it a point to visit often and stay close to those he cared about. He had a passion for music, playing guitar and singing whenever he could, even spending time as a member of a band. He loved the Lord and carried his faith with him throughout his life. Known as the best and most creative storyteller, he could captivate anyone with his words and sense of humor. He also shared a very special bond with his siblings, holding those relationships close to his heart.

Survivors include his daughter, Cynthia “Cindy” (Brian) Logan of Marion; sons, Dan (Rochelle) Turner of Marion, Michael “Mike” (Teresa) Turner of Marion, Carl (Ashley) Turner of Bowling Green, KY; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; siblings, Nancy Reid, Steve (Donna) Turner, Phil Turner, Roger (Joan) Turner, Tom (Tammy) Turner, Diane (Ron) Binkerd; brother-in-law, Ron Baker; first wife, Kay (Bob) Mauller, second wife, Gay Nell Bailey; as well as many nephews, nieces and extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William R. and Monna Belle Louise Turner; wife, Victoria Turner; brother, Tim Turner; sister, Darlene Baker; brother-in-law, Dave Reid; and sister-in-law, Sue Turner.

The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.

Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Roscoe’s life will begin at 12:00 noon with Pastor Lucas Binkard officiating. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park.
