Salamonie Lake announces Senior Luncheon on Friday, May 1

ANDREWS, IN- The Senior Luncheon will be held at noon, May 1 at the Salamonie Lake Interpretive Center, located in Lost Bridge West SRA. Anyone age 50 or older is welcome to attend.

Travel back in time with an early 1800’s pioneer granny doctor. Millie will show us some of the plants that she uses in her practice and discuss ailments of long ago and their treatments.

The program begins with a carry-in meal at noon. Guests should bring a side dish to share, a beverage, and their table service. Hot dogs will be provided. A donation will be accepted to help defray costs.

Seating is limited. Reservations may be made by emailing trody@dnr.in.gov or by calling 260-468-2127.

The program with Upper Wabash Interpretive Services is located at 3691 New Holland Road, Andrews, 46702. Gate fees do apply when the entrance is staffed. $7 per Indiana vehicle, $50 for annual entrance permit to all Indiana State Parks or $25 permit for those 65 or over.
