Roseanna Ebbinghouse Landis, 91, of Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester, Indiana, died at 10:25 pm, Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Peabody Healthcare Center in North Manchester. She was born on October 1, 1934, in Warsaw, Indiana, to Leonard and Dorothy (Baker) Ebbinghouse.
Roseanna was a 1952 graduate of Laketon High School. She married LeRoy Landis in North Manchester on June 28, 1986; he died May 11, 2023. Roseanna worked as a secretary at Knox Memorial Hospital and also at Pierceton Trucking. She was a member of the Laketon Wesleyan Methodist Church and the Laketon American Legion. She was a wonderful cook, and enjoyed cooking and traveling.
She is survived by her adopted daughter Lisa; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Helen Barva of Huntertown, Indiana; and her brother, Danny (Judy) Ebbinghouse of South Whitley, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, Freddie, Charles, and Bob Ebbinghouse, and two sisters, Eileen Cable and Ruth Weesner.
Funeral services will be 12:00 pm, Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Bender Chapel, 207 W. Main St., North Manchester, with Pastor J.P. Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Laketon Cemetery. Friends may call 10:30 am – 12:00 pm Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the funeral home.
