Wabash Police Department responds to reported bomb threat at Walmart

WABASH, IN — On April 21, 2026, officers with the Wabash Police Department were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a reported bomb threat inside the building. Responding WPD officers and detectives, along with multiple assisting agencies, worked to safely evacuate the building and ensure public safety.

K9 teams from the Indiana State Police and the Grant County Sheriff’s Department were utilized to search for any explosive devices. No dangerous devices were located, and the scene was subsequently cleared.

This remains an active investigation. Wabash Police Detectives are being assisted by federal agencies.
