Detectives Investigating Death of Inmate at Miami Correctional Facility
MIAMI COUNTY, IN – On November 26, 2025, detectives from the Indiana State Police Criminal Investigations Division at the Peru Post initiated an investigation at the request of the Miami Correctional Facility into the death of inmate J Trinidad Ramirez, 36 years of age.
Investigators are being assisted by the Miami County Coroner’s Office and Miami Correctional Facility Investigators. An autopsy was completed to determine the exact cause of death.
Family notification has been made.
This is an active and ongoing investigation. No more information will be released at this time.
