Janet L. Buteau, 78, of Marion, passed away at 7:15 pm on Monday, March 9, 2026, at Colonial Oaks Health & Rehabilitation Center in Marion. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Thursday, January 22, 1948, to Aaron and Elsie (Kepler) Bush. On December 10, 1965, she married Robert J. Buteau, who survives.
Janet graduated from Marion High School and was a homemaker.
Janet is survived by husband, Robert J. Buteau; sons, Aaron (Lisa) Buteau, and Jonathan (Erin) Buteau; sister, Anna Young; grandson, Tyler Buteau; brother-in-law, Bill (Paula) Buteau; sister-in-law, Phyllis (Mark) Smith; niece, Ashley (Michael) Shirley; and great-nephew, Eli Shirley.
She was preceded in death by father, Aaron N. Bush; mother, Elsie E. Bush; and brother-in-law, Larry Paul Young.
At Janet’s request, there will be no public visitation or funeral service.
