James E. Childers, born on August 11, 1947, in Santa Maria, California, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2026, in Marion, Indiana. He was a dedicated individual who spent his career in retail sporting goods, where he was self-employed.
James completed his education with a high school diploma. He is remembered fondly by his family and friends. He is survived by his cousins Frank (Rhonda) Mark, David Mark, and Greg (Heather) Mark. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dean Childers and Anna Childers.
James’ life was characterized by his passion for sports and his commitment to the retail community. He will be missed by all who knew him.
