
Elsie Faye Webb Cruz, 74, of Wabash, Indiana, died, Saturday, February 28, 2026, at her home. She was born on March 5, 1951, in Paintsville, Kentucky, to Curtis Jr. and Nannie (Booth) Webb.
Faye attended Century School and Wabash Jr-Sr High School. She devoted her life to caring for her family as a homemaker. She was baptized in the Eel River in Roann, Indiana, by Pastor Tim Prater, a moment that held deep meaning for her. Faye loved doing crafts, reading, and watching comedy, crime, and horror movies. She enjoyed researching her family’s ancestry and cherished every moment spent with her best friend, Nancy. Above all, she treasured time with her family and especially her grandchildren, who were the joy of her life.
She is survived by five children: Brian Alan (Jennifer) Cruz and Christine Denise (Billy II) Conley, both of LaFontaine, Indiana, Max Tavera Cruz, II of Wabash, Jason Adam (Amy) Cruz of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and Angela Renee-Cruz (Ricky) Adkins of Lincoln Park, Michigan, 16 grandchildren; Damian (Riann) Cruz, Mason Cruz, Branden Cruz, Billy Conley III, Kristen Conley, Dennis Conley, Tristan Cruz, Keaton Cruz, Ashlynn Cruz, Kobe Cruz, Chelsia (Trae) Bryant, Dylan (Autumn) Cruz, Kilea Cruz, Tyler Cruz, Cody Adkins, and Griffin Adkins, 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Esther) Webb, and five sisters; Ethel Pilcher, Betty (Ronnie) Watkins, Marilyn Webb, Debbie Webb, and Linda Miracle. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers in-law, Robert Pilcher and Preston Miracle.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor Tim Webb officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 12:00 – 2:00 pm, Wednesday, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Riley Hospital for Children.
