HUNTINGTON COUNTY, IN- A two vehicle rear-end collision fatal crash occurred in Huntington County on Saturday, February 28, 2026.
Landyn W. Maupin, age 20, of Anderson, IN was the unrestrained driver of a Tesla Model 3 that was northbound on I69 when he drove into the rear of a parked semi tractor trailer. Mr. Maupin was pronounced deceased at the scene. His cause of death is the result of multiple blunt impact injuries, and his death has been ruled as accidental. Speed and unsafe passing are the primary contributors to the crash. The Huntington County Coroner’s Office extend their deepest sympathies to the Maupin family and friends.
