Ronald “Ronzo” Mullen, 65, of Marion passed away February 17, 2026, after a brief, but courageous battle with cancer.
Ron was born October 30, 1960, to the late Richard Mullen and Elizabeth (Johnson) Shelton. In his youth he enjoyed helping on the farm, traveling with family, working on his car, and riding dirtbikes with his brother Sam.
Ron graduated from Eastbrook High School and went on to work in construction. Ron had a love for music of all kinds, and you could typically see him having a jam session, whether it was playing an air guitar visiting with friends at Don’s Tap, or helping out with local garage bands playing the drums or bass guitar. He was always eager to give a lending hand and helping those who were most important to him. He loved being outdoors, rock collecting, helping his mother with her flowers, and loved gardening with his best friend, Charlie aka “Boss Man”. He loved to be the life of the party and surrounded by his people.
Ron is survived by his daughter Kristyn (Darrin) Campbell; granddaughter, Peyton Cunningham; grandson, Mason Cunningham; sister, Mary (Tom) Reynolds; as well as nieces Sami, Jennifer, and Alexandria; and nephew, Tom.
Ron is preceded in death by his father, Richard Mullen; mother, Elizabeth (Johnson) Shelton; brother, Richard “Sami” Mullen; sister, Rebecca Mullen; half sister, Susan Walker; half sister, Tina Jones; and the love of his life, Christie Parker.
The family will receive visitors from 12 to 1 pm on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Needham‑Storey‑Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the visitation, a funeral service to celebrate Ronald’s life will take place at 1 pm with Tracy Phillips officiating.
