Wabash County man sentenced

WABASH COUNTY, IN- Norman D. Henson, age 61, from Wabash County, Indiana, was found guilty of Dealing in a Schedule IV Controlled Substance, a Level 5 Felony, and later admitted to being a habitual offender on February 11, 2026 in the Wabash Circuit Court following a two-day jury trial. Jury deliberation took approximately 7 minutes. The case has been set for sentencing on March 12, 2026.

The allegations in the case were that on the afternoon of August 30, 2024, Norman Henson sold 50 Alprazolam tablets to a confidential informant for $250.00. The case was investigated by the Wabash County Drug Task Force.

Wabash County Prosecutor Willaim C. Hartley Jr. represented the State of Indiana and the Defendant was represented by Attorney Elden Stoops.

The sentencing range for a Level 5 Felony is 1 to 6 years with an advisory sentence of 3 years. The habitual offender enhancement adds potentially 3 to 6 years to the underlying sentence.
