Robin Rhae Shockey, 67, of Gas City, passed away at 11:35 pm on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis. Robin was born in Marion, Indiana, on Friday, January 23, 1959, to George and Mary (Sipe) Jones.
She graduated from Mississinewa High School. Robin found joy in the simple rhythms of daily life. She loved tending to her plants, nurturing them with the same care she showed the people around her. She enjoyed visiting Jackie’s Restaurant, where she could share a meal and good conversation with friends and neighbors. Robin also spent many years working at Franklin Electric in Gas City, where she manufactured and serviced circuit boards. In quieter moments, she liked watching Fox News and keeping up with the world around her.
Robin is survived by her son, Richard Wesley (Madison) Shockey of Gaylord, MI; her brothers, Larry G. Jones of Tampa, FL, and Bim Jones of Flushing, MI; and her grandson, William Shockey of Gaylord, MI.
She was preceded in death by her father, George G. Jones; her mother, Mary L. Jones; and her sister, Carolyn Sorah.
The family will hold a private celebration of life at a later date.
