Grant County investigation leads to multiple arrests

GRANT COUNTY, IN- On 01/27/2026, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division concluded a phase of an ongoing investigation involving the trafficking of illegal contraband into the Grant County Jail. As a result of the investigation, arrest warrants were issued for individuals connected to trafficking-related offenses involving inmates and outside associates.

Zabrien Michael Wright, Age 25, Anderson, was arrested and transported to the Grant County Jail and

charged with the following:

• Count 1: Trafficking with an Inmate, a Level 5 Felony

• Count 2: Conspiracy to Commit Trafficking with an Inmate, a Level 5 Felony

Jayden Persinger, Age 18, Marion, turned herself into Grant County Jail and was charged with the following:

• Count 1: Trafficking with an Inmate, a Level 5 Felony

• Count 2: Conspiracy to Commit Trafficking with an Inmate, a Level 5 Felony

• Count 3: Official Misconduct, Level 6 Felony

*** Jayden Persinger was working as a Detention Deputy in the Grant County Jail***

Gage Dils, Age 26, Marion was arrested at the Grant County Jail and charged with the following:

• Count 1: Dealing in Methamphetamine, a Level 4 Felony

• Count 2: Trafficking with a n Inmate, a Level 5 Felony

• Count 3: Conspiracy to Commit Trafficking with an Inmate, a Level 5 Felony

This investigation remains active and ongoing, and additional charges or arrests may follow as the case continues to develop.
