Jeffrey Todd Cook

Jeffrey Todd Cook, 64, of rural Wabash, Indiana, died at 10:58 pm, Monday, January 12, 2026, at his home surrounded by family. He was born on December 3, 1961, in Marion, Indiana, to Jack and Lewanna (Wilson) Cook.

Jeff was a 1980 graduate of Marion High School, and went on to attend IU Kokomo. He married Lisa Elliott in Tennessee on September 3, 1993. Jeff was a Marion, Indiana Firefighter and EMT. He served on the fire department from June 22, 1992 until his retirement on July 27, 2017, where he held various positions including; Private, Captain, and Deputy Chief. Jeff was a member of Wabash First Church of God and the Marion Elks Lodge. In his years after retirement, Jeff worked at Josiah White’s in Wabash, where he enjoyed getting to know and work with the kids there. He was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed watching football, basketball, and baseball, but loved getting out to hit the golf course. Jeff loved meticulously maintaining the grounds, but the biggest passion in his life was his family and treasured the time he got to spend with them, especially his princess, Madison.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Cook of Wabash, two sons, Michael (Jourden) Cook of East Saint Louis, and Marcus (Jullian Hart) Cook of Marion, step son, Zachary France of Indianapolis, Indiana, granddaughter, Madison Cook of East Saint Louis, mother-in-law, Judy Hannah of Wabash, brother, Rusty Cook of Arizona, sister-in-law, Lori (Brian “Poco”) Stewart of Chattanooga, Tennessee, brother-in-law, Michael (Theresa) Elliott of Wabash, nieces and nephews, Evren Elliott, August Elliott, and Zoe Elliott, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of Jeff’s life will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Josiah White’s Chapel, 5223 S 50 E, Wabash, with Chaplain Brady Bolen and Pastor Robb Rensberger officiating. Arrangements by Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash.

Preferred memorials are Wabash First Church of God or Josiah White’s Spiritual Life Fund.
